Looking to the physical library building for design inspiration, we wanted to bring a part of the classic Beaux Arts style architecture into the website. This addition would add a touch of familiarity to the design most patrons of the library would recognize.In line with this strategy, we incorporated an image of the library's five story, sky lit atrium into the header graphic, a complement to its logo, designed with the same architecture in mind. The result is that the header, which resides on every page, serves as a consistent theme for the website.
